For a couple Corvette pictures? Corvettes and airplanes go hand in hand, just ask the Mercury astronauts. I thought it was getting back on track too. Alrighty then.

Hello Bob! Nice to see you here! I'm still trying to arrange a photo flight with the Chorman's, but they are hard to nail down during spraying season.

Good looking airplane. Always liked the lines. Here's a batch from the SDASM archives for whomever finally does find a way to purchase that thing and restore it possibly in one of these schemes.

Although this is an old stream, I thougt I should try to post some photos of 66464 as it transited Iceland and left this morning on the way to France piloted by three portugese pilots. I don't know how Facebook threads really come through here, but the url should be accessible.

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10201435821652044&set=a.10201435820652019.1073741863.1670230265&type=3&theater

You can look at the whole album by clicking NEXT PREVIOUS above the photo.
Also here is an interestin contrast between old and new:

Hope this is of interest to someone over there.

Just got a pic of the suspect aircraft at Petaluma. No one knows where it went after the CG was thru with it. For some reason, it uploads correctly up to Photobucket but posts vertical here.

My dad was one of the owners of this old Beech ("Erling N. Rikansrud dba Rikansrud Boat Works, Madeira Beach (later Dunedin), FL BS 27Jun79." When I was a teenager, I remember helping him get the aircraft in flying condition. With the exception of the missing control surfaces and flight tires, it doesn't look much different. He bought it for a business venture. My dad and his friend were manufacturing electrical parts (toroid windings) in Florida and planned to fly them to Central America to have them wound with copper wiring and flown back for sale here. But, my dad blew an engine on his first flight before he even got over the Caribbean. He limped home on one engine, but, he realized that if he had been over water at the time, he might not have made it back. So, that was the last time that flight was attempted and the end of the business venture.

It's funny seeing these photos, especially the cockpit, because I remember my dad placing the tape labels on the instrument panel like he did in all the airplanes he ever owned. You can still see them in the cockpit photo. Brought me back to the 70's for a moment...
