North Carolina Museum aircraft sold???

Fri Jan 20, 2006 6:03 pm

I was at the Carolinas aviation museum in charlotte NC.. I had a great tour from the folks there. Since if I do move there, that I would help out from time to time with maint on the DC-3 and some other stuff. But I was saddened to hear that the collector on Ashland who bought AJ's B-25 and named it "carolina girl" had been diagnosed with cancer and sold off most of the collection and died 2 weeks ago. Does anyone know where she went????

That is a shame for the museum, and of course for the gentlemen selling the B-25. If I remember correctly quite a number of the airframes at the museum were owned by just a few private individuals. One person selling off, could result in a number of the airframes disappearing.

Here are the pictures I took there last September...

Not the greatest shots of it. It was kind of tucked away in the corner...
