Good day!

Tks! yes I remember the "Blue Max" -7 in NMF awhile ago. They certainly look impressive 'n flight this way.

p.s '447 flew with the radome during test flights only & then it came off. However, it has the "trademark" © of the F4U club.. the Chrome prop spinner!

I thought it looked so sharp that way, I built a model of it. I don't remember if I didn't know at that time (early '80s) that the -7s were 10" longer than the -4, or just didn't care (drank a lot in those days), but of course no -7 kit was available at that time so I worked with what I had.

F4U-5N NP Folks:

Good day!

Found this interesting shot of the NP F4Us at Moffett Field Blimp Hangar c. 1950s. The center A/C appears to be NP #13. Photo NARA.

On October 21, 2012, Zorro7 posted about wanting photos of a Corsair NP-14. I have an old photo. Is that person still interested? I don't know how to post the photo here.
