You're the man, Scott. Keep slugging and get well soon.

Hope you're out of the hospital and back on your feet soon, Scott!

I hate it when something you thought was history returns to bite you in the butt. I spent a couple weeks in the hospital about a year and a half ago, and had a tube hanging out of my belly for a year after that, due to some complications from gall bladder surgery clear back in 1998.

My "favorite" tends to change over time but it always seems to come back to P-38 Lightnings :)

Scott,

I endured the same back in 2010. Was in remission until a month ago when they found another lump had grown in the bowel. Last week had half my exhaust pipe removed, including the appendix (good news is now I'll never get appendicitis).

You have probably already been given this advice - but I'll offer it anyway. 'Just take one day at a time buddy'.

My thoughts and moral support are with you.

Hang in there,

Barry

(I always reckoned that a tuned exhaust pipe sounds better)

Thanks Barry, and mine goes out to you as well.Cancer isn't easy but if you keep your attitude and spirits high and do what the doctor tells you then you will be fine!

I really appreciate all the support and good will I have received, it matters more than you realize.

This past month has been monumentally annoying with being laid up for the last few weeks. One of the more aggravating things was that the meds I was on were making me far sighted, meaning that reading was extremely difficult, so that sucked. Luckily the meds are done for the most part except for the coumadin I will be taking for a long time to come. In the process of dealing with the infection and the abscess they discovered a blood clot in my thigh, so thats fun.

My advice, don't get old. :)

Luckily I get to return to work on Sunday and earn some money to help cover the income I lost over the last 3+ weeks for being out.

Thanks again for all the support, it means the world to me.

P.S. I am back working on updates for various sections so check out http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/ to find out whats new. and I will be working through the backlog of IMs and e-mails. Thanks for your patience.

Hello all,

The recovery is going well and I am back to work. The infection is mostly healed so it's pretty much down to dealing with the blood clot and that's a long term project. Thanks for all the well wishes, it means a lot.

As for the site, I'll be writing a State of the site post and you will be able to find out whats going on, it's a bit crazy.
