AH-1P Cobra at Cavanaugh

Fri Feb 24, 2006 9:19 pm

Just in case any WIXers are around Addison on Sunday 26th Feb, thought you might be interested to know that the Cavanaugh Flight Museum will host a visiting civilian-owned AH-1P Cobra helicopter.

The Cobra will arrive at approximately 12:00 and land on the main ramp. It will remain on display until Tuesday, February 28th when it will depart at approximately 3:00. An interesting note, this Cobra was used in the upcoming movie, "Mission Impossible 3".

Obviously the visit is "dependant on aircraft serviceability" and "weather permitting".
I'll be there most of the day. If you can make it, ask for Julian, and I'll give you a "behind the scenes" tour of the musuem. Bring a camara.

Julian aka "Needle".

I believe there is now a Cobra privately owned here in Midland. Not
sure owner's name. Could it be the same Cobra?
