Rumors of a Dauntless from the left coast? Would be a contender as well, for sure.
What about Doc? How cool to have two B-29's?

Did the interview include anything about Thunder?

Good to see Scott Yoak returning to put Quicksilver through her paces (and also allowing the kids to try a P-51 on for size).

World Heritage Air Museum is bringing 6 jets....a pretty big goal for our little museum.
de Havilland Vampire N115DH
de Havilland Venom N747J
Temco Super Pinto N13PJ
Aero L29 N29CZ
Aero L39 N61XX
Fouga CM170 N450PS
Our Vampire is one of 2 flying in North America, and our Venom will be the only one flying on the continent. Our Pinto is one of 3 flying period.
Hope to see you all there!

Excellent news,
mtibbitts - thanks for bringing those 6 jets, and I hope to see them all arrive and/or display!
In fact, this thread is full of excellent news so far. The two B-29's are a highlight by themselves, but if the PB4Y was to come to Oshkosh as well (I know they wanted to come in 2010 originally, and also last year, but in 2010 they 'only' had to come from Greybull, WY, while in 2014 they were also due to appear [presumably for a fee] at ToM), AirVenture 2015 could really become an epic four-engine-fest, what with the BAHF C-97 hopefully also being ready. Just imagine if the CAF also brought 'Diamond Lil' (I don't believe the Collings Foundation ever do Oshkosh?), and NASA the Super Guppy - there might not even be enough room on the ramp for the four-engined airliners that might appear (shouldn't the Lufthansa Connie be ready by the summer? or what about the AHM Connie that was supposed to return to the air last year? - let alone DC-7 N4887C (the one in Delta colours over in Arizona) that
Scramble magazine said would be making a test flight in early 2015 before being put on the airshow circuit).
Better make sure I bring enough memory cards!

Probably just a little too much hopeful exuberance for Oshkosh 2015 here......
While I would LOVE to see these come there, from what I have recently read on these airplanes, I would say the BAHF C-97G, the Lufthansa L-1649A Starliner and the AHM L-1049H Super Connie are all highly doubtful at this point for being ready to fly to an air show by July this year.
It would be great to have all of these at Oshkosh in the hopefully not TOO distant future.
Would love to see the NASA Super Guppy, NASA Boeing 747SP "SOFIA," Boeing 747 DreamLifter and some other big airplanes like the An-225 and An-124 there though!

More shows this year should be celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the end of WW II.
Cheers,
Tom Walsh.

I'm sure many will be doing that. After all, it will be the last chance to commemorate a major anniversary and have veterans present in any number.
