This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

A very reliable source has informed me that a Yale is arriving in Australia soon. The new owner is an Adelaide based collector who has yet to indicate what the end use of the Yale will be.
While Australia enjoys a good representation of the NA16 lineage with Wirraway and Harvards and a BT-13, the Yale will add a new and exciting addition to this design type.
Photos will be made available soon and added as a update.

BT-13? This aircraft has nothing to do with the NA-16 family, being a Vultee design. However, I would be more than a little interested in which Yale we are discussing and who the new owner is.

You mean BT-9 and BT-14...the BT-13 was built by Vultee.

more hearsay from the rumor mill. Nice baiting! *Yawn*

No baiting - just good old fashioned facts.
Yale is in excellent condition and will make for an easy restoration.
End use by the current owner may not be to "fly it" but to do something else with it, perhaps on sell it, it was a great opportunity to buy the project
and an opportunity not to be missed. So "if" another party expresses an interest then the end result can only be a positive one for the Warbird community.
The point is, its here and available to anyone or any group looking to secure an excellent example of this type and add to our (Australia's) diverse warbird
examples. Cheaper and easier to fly than a Wirraway or Harvard and obviously an excellent entry aircraft into the Warbird scene.
