A few years ago I read in FlyPast of a Brit guy who'd built a complete Lancaster mockup, from the nose to the wing root. I've tired looking it up online but found a few other projects that were very similar. I had no idea there were so many Lanc nose mockups out there.
Does anyone know the one I'm talking about? This was complete on the outside as well and had turrets if memory serves. Whatever happened to that?

Would you be thinking of Jeremy Hall in the UK. He has since donated the cockpit section.

I found the website: http://www.avro-lancaster.org/index.html
Thanks for the info, where'd he donate it?

The nose section currently resides at RAF Scampton, former home of 617 Dambuster Squadron.

Are you sure about that? His personal site says nothing on that I could find, and this would suggest that's a real Lanc nose from what I've read: http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?131573-Lancaster-Fuselage-Delivered-to-Scampton

P51, that one in the picture is the mockup from the Bomber Command Museum of Canada formerly Nanton Lancaster Society in Nanton Alberta. It was built for use in filiming of a movie called Map of the Human Heart. It is a replica nose but has a fair bit of original parts going into it canopy, turret, interior bits instrument panels pilots seat etc...
