Yes ! Great about the Maryland ! AND the update on the Vickers Vincent !

Last pic I saw was the uncovered skeleton frame on wheels. MAN ! That thing is one huge Aeroplane ! Good to see the sole surviving example is being restored & will be in excellent shape!

P.S, The Maryland Always made me think of a "Boom-less" P-63 !

Come on Dave. For the poor few of us that don't have (yet) a subscription, could you post a photo of the Maryland.
Thank you. Thank you

Got mine after coming back from the Classic Fighters airshow, was stunned by the cover as a) John Romain flew a P-40 at the show, and 2) I bought a model kit of a Blenheim Mk.I at said show! John's article and pilot's report are a great read. I also loved the very moody shot of the FHC Me262, and the Vengeance article.
Another top issue Dave - I missed you at Omaka but saw you often - and Graham and crew, I'm halfway through and loving it.
I'm amazed the Maryland has gone so long without being "found". There's a lot of aircraft in those photos and it would make a fantastic starting point for a restoration.

I received my issue last night. Can't wait to dig into it.
That Maryland, wow! I sure hope someone is able to recover it and give it a good home. Shame it is such a politically unstable environment. (I'm assuming it is in Libya).

I MIGHT be able to post a photo in a couple of weeks. There are strict terms on breaking the 'news' in CW, not only that there are still subscribers which haven't received their issue, and a number of retail stores in Australia have yet to get their shipments. Those who spend their hard earned money helping to keep the magazine viable must have priority. As an aside, you don't need to 'subscribe' as such to receive this issue, magazines can be had individually.
Zac, it was nice to met John Romain and have a chat to him in person, a very understated guy for such an accomplished pilot/engineer - what a super display in the P-40 along with Keith in the Corsair.
We were indeed fortunate that he provided the Blenheim piece to CW, ahead of the 'home grown' magazines.
Re the Maryland, it has be known about for a number of years (I was first made aware in 2007). A big effort was made in recent years by several people in conjunction with a National Museum,to secure it via a trade, but sadly current circumstances have meant 'talks' have stalled and it was decided by all parties it would be best to make it public, in the hope that someone with the means may pick up the challenge....here's hoping!

You're telling me - it was like they were one aircraft. Stunning stuff to watch! And here I was thinking he only flew Blenheim and Spitfires!!
Bravo again on the mag, it's a really good read and the Blenheim article has come in handy at my model workbench over the weekend.

Hi AA
At present we still have unresolved problems with Magzter, particularly with their security. We have discovered the previous two issues are available online via Russian websites. We may have to look for an alternative company or look into running the digital edition ourselves some how.
Until we get some satisfaction from Magzter, who seem reluctant to communicate, we won't upload the current issue, however in the meantime PM me your postal address and I will get a hard copy in the post to you.
This goes for other digital subscribers as well. Apologies for the inconvenience, darn frustrating for all of us
cheers
Dave
