Is there any evidence of an active service Jeep ever being painted in Glossy Sea Blue...perhaps with the US Navy?

I've only seen the lighter blue in Navy Jeeps.

Hey guys, small update on the Jeep. A friend of my father's and I decided to restore our 1941 Columbia that we picked up a year or two ago. She needed to be totally gone through and Ryan did a great job! But how do we combine the Jeep and Bike together? We acquired for $10 an old Tule bike rack. Some angle iron was used to attach the rear frame and body bolts, behind the bumperettes. We bought two hook bolts and attached them onto the bumperettes to create a strong structure. Then we attached the Tule rack across horizontally. Last, we needed a stabilizer bar. Luckily the spare tire is in line with the front down tube on the bike frame, so a small pipe clamp was purchased and reworked to fit into one of the spare tires empty bolt holes. Some finishing touches and a coat of paint and TA DA!

We still have to replace the rubber and plastic straps with period ones. Our goal with any additions like this to the Jeep is to be able to remove them without any trace. The motivation to finally get this project done was for the Connecticut Fallen Heros Foundation. They hosted an event this past Saturday to honor three Connecticut residents that we're killed in the line of duty. Two from the Iraq wars and one from Vietnam. We we're requested to attend with the Jeep. While I was unfortunately away, my father and mother were there for support! The event took place at the lovely Indian Ledge Park in Trumbull.
