The Lake County Parks Department in conjunction with 9th Infantry Division (HRS) will be hosting the WWII Tribute on May 6-7, 2006. The show features everything from the Homefront through the battle field. Here is what participated last year and you can expect the same this year!

Over 300 Reenactors participated. This is bigger than BOTH Nationals combined!

Over 30 original WWII vehicles were in attendance!

Original WWII aircraft participated daily in the battles including a P-51 Mustang, PT-17 Stearman, and TBM Avenger. 8)

The most famous Vendors of WW2 Reenactment supplies were in attendance and the sales area doubled in size!

This spectacular event is held at Buckley Homestead on SR-2 in Lowell, IN just west of I-65.

This year there will be four different battles to see. Approximately 1 hour before the big battle Skirmishes will take place. The skirmishes might depict Medical personell under fire, a mine squad or a sniper. While the battles will feature the tanks with the aircraft overhead. Each day will feature two skirmishes and two battles.
