Two of them in Czechoslovakia, too. Have recent Sea Fury sales been fetching over a Million bucks? Not long ago they seemed to run in the $800,000 range. I've not paid much attention to the market for a while...

Probably get the best deal on the CAF Fury from Stephan Browns used airplane lot and bait stand! Going to get harder and harder to get people to donate their money and aircraft if all he is going to do is turn around and sell them!

(Just for clarification, none of these are the former "Conch Fury" - that one is now the red two-seat example that is nearing completion at MeierMotors (registered D-CACE). N1954H, otherwise unnamed and unmarked, is the one that used to be based in Hamilton, Ontario for quite some time, when owned by Sandy Thomson as C-FGAT (usually displayed at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum during that time, if I recall correctly).)

I also see that the South African based T-2 Buckeye is for sale at 1.7m
It does not seem that long ago that this aircraft was sold via Courtesy ... does anyone recall for how much?
Its quite a warbird :)

Why no love for the TBM at 285K? :o Less than a new Cessna. What do T-6's go for? About that much?

You know what they say about asking price - asking is one thing and selling, another. The only Sea Fury I can recall previously for over a million was Chuck Greenhill's, and that one was probably worth every penny. It was totally original spec and I bet it cost a lot more than that to build.

Anybody know whether the Czech Furies are flown?

Thanks for clearing that up John. I saw the pics and thought Conch Fury.

Actually I was most excited when looking at the TBM which to me is a "Buy". Very nice restoration, comes with a fresh annual and only needs a little freshening up. Oh, did you notice it seats six and has dual controls? A friend's dad, Dr. Dick Dieter had a TBM-3R back in the 1980's . We sure had a ball riding in it. It had luggage and fuel pods for the bombay area and it had working bomb bay doors.
More seats than a "dumptruck" Skyraider or B-25, and half the fuel burn!
