I know a lot of warbirds were made there. check Mike Henniger's site for warbirds in that area. www.aerialvisuals.ca/Locator.php LST 325 on display there is worth checking out. www.lstmemorial.org

You can still see the compass rose behind the P-47 plant.

What is the P-47 factory used for now?

Also, Grumman subcontracted Albatross (SA-16/UF, HU-16) fuselage to Plymouth, IIRC, in Evansville. Is that factory still around?

This page has some info on the current use of the factory buildings:

Check and see if LST-325 is going to be in prort or intransit
on the MS. I know it's not a warbird, but it's cool. As for
"Sarge" and tell him Owen sent you. He does a helluva
Gen Patton impression. He's the guy who got one of our
Quad 40s working off gas and propane....for free.

The gallery of our 2009 visit to LST - 325 is here:

Also - The Indiana Military Museum in Vincennes, IN is about an hour North of Evansville and is worth the trip.

Since our visit I believe they've added an A-4 Skyhawk, F-18 and MiG-17 to the collection.

You can take a look at our gallery of photos from the museum here:

Great photos, Paul - would it be OK to pass the T-33 photo (properly credited) along to Nathan Decker for his T-33 page? He doesn't have a shot of it yet.
Also, when did they get their Phantom? 66-7626 was last reported to be at Wright-Patterson.
Thanks for posting!

Thanks Chris!

It's ok with us to pass the T-33 photo on - thanks for asking and thanks for the credit as well.

Our visit was on 5/12/14 so the Phantom was there by then.

Work didn't allow us any field trip time. We're off to Benton Harbor, MI tomorrow and wanted to ask if there is anything left at the Kalamazoo Museum??
