This continues to be great and much appreciated thread.
Strangely I almost like the photos of the operating planes in for minor work more than the one of those planes coming out of deep restoration. They have a patina that the more perfect restorations will take a while to acquire.

well beauty or not - its a unique plane. The Messerschmitt Bf109 G-12 D-FMGZ had her roll-out end of May 2016 after deep restoration and conversion. The trainer-plane (sounds funny dealing with a one-o-nine) is powered by a Volvo licence buildt DB605. A wonderful manufactured engine, overhauled by Vintage V12´s. It is quite interesting to see, what a difference wartime production vs post-war production makes. The Volvo is very fine manufactured, maybe the best DB605 you can get

Looking very good, much better than I feared it might. Very convincing paint scheme, well done MeierMotors. Congratulations to you for your work, and to the owner, hangar10 for the decision, dedication and the nice bird as well, of course. Many happy landings, may we see a lot of this rare G-subtype in the future. A GoPro clip from the rear seat would be very interesting (as well as one of getting into the rear seat as well, seems like a bit of climbing must be involved  ). Thank you for the pics and info Matthias!

Michael

That Hurricane is pretty well known about already, at least on the European aviation forums. It's registered in the UK as G-CBOE, but is owned by a German resident (and the aircraft has taken up residence at MeierMotors in recent months). The aircraft was completed/first flown in 2014, and is painted in the permanent markings of a Rhodesian Hurricane, but sported temporary Finnish AF markings for a brief time immediately after the restoration was completed. https://www.google.com/search?q=G-CBOE& ... sQ_AUIBigB

Thank you Matthias for the updates, magnificent photos, and the link to the taxi run video!

:D :D :D :D nice one ! The Hurricane belongs to a private owner, and he had a tire damage last season. So hangarage at MaxAlpha, but soon she will depart to her homehangar. Really a beauty

here is the complete walkaround on my homepage http://www.dorst-freiburg.com/index.php/beispiele/hawker-aircraft/hawker-hurricane/hawker-hurricane-ag244

and a small video-walkaround. I love the Hurricane really
