A Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) BAE CT-155 Hawk will be on static display at the 2016 Thunder Over Michigan Show on August 20 and 21.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

The Royal Netherlands Air Force have reluctantly cancelled their attendance at this years Thunder Over Michigan show. They have fallen behind in the training of their students. Flight training on the F-16 is their primary reason for being in the the U.S. They are just as disappointed as we are, and will try again.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

I would assume that an update is also needed to scratch Tim Savage's A-26 from the list.

A Bell VH-IN Huey Helicopter, from the USAF's 1st Helicopter Squadron (HMX-I), from Andrews AFB, Maryland, will be on static display at Thunder Over Michigan in three weeks time!

If I am not mistaken the RNAF F-16s had the same problem last year. You think that this would be a good "cross country" opportunity for them for flight training.

Doc didn't make it to Osh Kosh because I guess they weren't ready. Any chances it will make it to Thunder since it is a high profile Warbird Airshow?

"Doc" is not scheduled for Thunder nor any upcoming air shows that I am aware of. I would think the FAA would mandate that they put in some training and hours on the airframe before it is allowed out on the road.

The ToM website mentions that the AH-1 cobra will be taking a break from forest fighting to be at the show.

Is this about the AAHF cobras and they just mentioned the firefighting or are we going to see a USFS cobra on display??

The website is pretty confusing and I know there are a lot of aircraft missing from the list.

It's looks like the MiG-23 MAY have been moved from the Performers list to the Static list for the show. Big disappointment IF true, but we will wait for confirmation.

IF true, hopefully we we still see a flyby or two on Friday the 19th, Taxiway Photography/Arrival Day.

I have a feeling it has cancelled completely. I don't see them flying it all the way there just to be on static. It probably costs more to fly it to Yip then it does to have it perform in the show.

Wow, jets are dropping like flies, what a shame.

I agree - that it would seem unlikely that it would fly all the way from Delaware to Michigan and back just for a static display.
