I would sure like to find out more about this as I think this may have been the cause of Doug Lacy's PV-2 crash at Clear Lake years ago. I wonder exactly which mag switch this was and if it was a part of the Briggs AD.
Besides the online summary of the accident do you know where I might find a more detailed report on the post crash mag switch testing or how to correspond with those that might have been involved with the investigation?
Thanks in advance for any help.

A quick shout out for the attractive Ventura maintained by the Museu Aeroespacial in Brazil (yum!):

That Brazilian Ventura is ex-RCAF as well, #2262. They wrote a small book on it's conversion back from civilian executive. Did a pretty good job considering all the parts they had to remanufacture! Nice to see it in a museum.

I assumed that it came that way but it is more impressive that they brought her back from civil configuration. Would you have the name of the book? I would love to find a copy.

Taigh, here is a copy of the accident report on the PV-1 operated by the RAAF Museum nearly 30 years ago! Time flies...PV-1's don't without engine power!
