I think it was just a poll asking for user input. I didn't have the sense that it would necessarily result in a ruling.

I can see where you're coming from. A pal of mine posted his real name on another military oriented forum, and someone use that to track down where he lived. They robbed the guy blind of things he'll never be able to get back again

That is EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

Also, here lately, it seems you can easily lose your job or come under personal harassment at your home for seemingly harmless comments or jokes posted online. I am SO glad I've never had a Fakebook or Tweeter account.

IMHO, you just can't be too careful these days. It's sad, but that's just the way the world is now.
