Both the Fw-190 for Norway and White 1 were initially done at the Texas Air Museum but the quality of work was unsatisfactory. Mark Timkin completed the example for Norway in exchange for assistance with White 1. After White 1 was sold to the Collings Foundation the work continues at Gosshawk.

Cheers..Just found her info.

Maybe someone can confirm? Rumor has it that Pacific Fighters has recently received a BF 109 for restoration.

Mid West Aero is in the middle of a 109 restoration.

it was mentioned in the opening message of this thread......

Pacific fighters has had a E model owned by Comanche fighters for while, I don't know if they are restoring it or just on display.

The Emil has been on display at Planes of Fame as recovered, for several years. IIRC the owners decided it should remain untouched as an historical item -good for them.

Perhaps the reference is to the Allison powered airframe modified at Pacific Fighters for Erickson, now flying.

Yeah, that is the only Allison powered Buchon conversion flying. nicely done.

The Allison powered Buchon is a feat in engineering. Pacific Fighters really knocked it out of the park. I wonder what new 109 project they have. Maybe it is the E model?

Is there a third Bf-109E ready to fly? or has flown recently? I'm seeing a photo of a new one but zero information on it.
And of the two 109E's I'm assuming only one is actually flying at the moment? FHC's?

There is a third E ready to fly in southern Germany, located at Manching. No ties to Messerschmitt Foundation, privately owned. Taxi tests were performed in July, I have not heard of a first flight, but it may have happened. Link from German Forum "Flugzeugforum", copyright of the pic: one-o-nine.

Man that thing is beautiful!

Yes, that's the one, Mark. It is WkNr.1983. Last I saw reported on it was way back in July 2017 when it was undergoing taxi tests - I haven't heard if it has flown yet, but it is an airworthy aircraft.

Bf-109E G-CIPB at Biggin Hill (the former Ed Russell example) will hopefully fly again next year(?). It was test flown once in the summer of 2017 at Biggin, but there was an issue found and the engine was removed and sent out again before arriving back again earlier this year.

As mentioned, the Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum's Bf-109E is an active flyer, but flies only on a limited schedule each year.

BF 109E G-CIPB should fly sometime late this year. They have the engine back from the USA and it has been installed. I guess time will tell. If the one in Germany fly's and when Meier Motors completes there E-1 then that would make 4 flying E models. Id love to see the 4 together but we know that won't happen. One could dreams!

Was going to ask about Meier Motors one.Hopefully Matthias can fill us in when he gets a chance.
