... and it's not quite the same as the 1960's John Wayne movie.

Here's the thing... there are movies and there are documentaries. This, like Pearl Harbor, falls into the former category. Documentaries, while technically accurate (or should be) tend to be boring to the muggles. Movies need to keep the muggles attention so tend to go into more fanciful stuff. This is not necessarily bad, but will give you conniptions if you are looking for authenticity. The best we can hope for is a balance between mush and substance.

I recently read Harms Way, the James Bassett novel in which the old film is based. Note: No "In" in the title.

It's worth a read, you find out more about the main characters you see in the film.
It has neat details like the weekend wargaming done by senior officers at Pearl using wooden blocks, also various aircraft types are specifically mentioned.

And by looking at wiki, you learn Bassett was on Admiral Halsey's staff, so he knew a thing about the war in the Pacific and it's senior officers. In other words, it wasn't written by a hack who thought a war novel would be a good way to make a buck.

Amazon has a Kindle edition for .99 cents, or a non-Kindle electronic edition for $3.99.

The Ben Affleck, Kate Beckinsale, Godzilla love triangle would have been epic. And probably more factually accurate ;)

Me too. Just sorted the code out.
Goto youtube and under the share option is embed, click on that. you will see some code with iFrame in it. Copy that entire code and come back to wix.
You'll see a new option in the buttons above the new message area, a new one called youtube.
Click the youtube button and paste the embed code between the tags (like adding an outside image)
and there you go. Works like a charm!

I will be working up a tutorial later this week.

Thx Scott :)

So here's the trailer for "Overlord". I'm actually kind of looking forward to seeing it. There's no effort to be overly historic, just a fun scary movie (I think)

Should be cool, especially if you play Call of Duty :)

Overlord should be fine. Like Captain American, this movie is based on a real war.

Now I'm curious. I have only seen one movie in a theater in the last year and a half, but if it's got Doolittle Raid stuff, I might have to find out how to watch it.

Bruce Willis would be cast to play Godzilla.
