Another PBY back to the US

I've not seen it reported here but, hot on the heels of the Dutch PBY being ferried to Collings, another European-based example is currently heading back to the US.
N9767, based at Melun near Paris for quite a few years now, is being ferried to a new owner in Eugene, Oregon. It flew the Iceland-Greenland leg yesterday.
That leaves just one operational Catalina in Europe, the Duxford-based example, although I think there is still one in Greece that hasn't flown for a while now.
That's 2/3 of the European population gone in the last month. I hope both are flown regularly with their new owners in the US.

Mike - you are correct. The only airworthy Catalina remaining in Europe, apart from Plane Sailing's very busy G-PBYA (currently in Krakow on display duties), is Canso A N315KM at Tatoi, Athens. It is in very good condition but has not flown for some years. It too is for sale following the death of the owner of the collection it was part of.

N315KM Looks like the old National Warplane Museum's PBY-6A. Boy would I love for them to get there hands on this one. Kinda like making up for lost time.

No, this one has been in Greece for the last 25 years. The Geneseo one ended up at Farmingdale.

This is an impressive achievement as well, for crossing the Atlantic in any of these planes is a very exciting and exacting practice. The distances are fairly huge at the speeds they go! Congrats to making Greenland, I found that to be a thrilling place to finally see at low altitude!

Been watching for the plane and haven’t seen any further movement. Are they stuck in Greenland?

No, they made it to Goose Bay then on to Trois Rivières yesterday.
They have a Facebook page, 'Bye Bye Catalina', where you can follow their progress. It is frequently updated with video clips and photos.

Wow! I crossed over Greenland and Goose yesterday but, it was at FL360. I would have far preferred their view!

N9767 Has been flying around Southeastern Michigan and landing in our local lakes in the area. A friend of mine captured this video today.

That's Meier's new A-26 in the back it looks like. What is this collection? VERY unfamiliar with anything outside the US

That Catalina, N315KM, is based at Tatoi Airport, Greece and is owned by the Athenian Aviators Collection, for which the A-26 was also part of until its recent sale (as you mention, that A-26 is now in Germany). The Catalina remains for sale - considered airworthy, but I believe it has not been flown in more than a decade.
