I was driving to my folks home in Oklahoma and spotted 4 T-33 fuselages and one wing sitting in a field along with what looked like a jolly green as well as MANY military vehicles all seemingly just from salvage.

Any of my Texas brothers know who belongs to ''em?

(I think one of the T-33's may have been the one that was a pole sitter in Comanche Ok when I was younger.)

Frank, Don't mean to be demeaning here, but the Texas/Oklahoma border is a pretty long one. Can you give us an idea where you were close to when you saw them ?

Now I know you said that for the non-Texicans here.....

Awe heck, everybody knows the border aint that big.....

Alvord.

I'm in Garland, and i go up to Denton and then across 380 and up the 81 thru Bowie to Duncan where I was raised.

There were a few 70's USAF flightline fire vehicles, the '33's ( there is an ejection seat sitting by the building ) the chopper and some large enclosed trailers as well as alot of little stuff. It is all on the south side of the road. As there is a locked gate, I didnt cross the fence to get the serial numbers of the birds.

Well, of course you're right Frank, at 780.6 miles along the OK border it isn't all that big. I just thought it might help to narrow it down some.

Haven't been down that road to see'em. Hopefully someone can enlighten us.

Probably surplus stuff from Sheppard. On the interstate near Texarkana a few years back there was an F-111 in front of a surplus store. I believe it was an "iron bird"...non-flying test article (from Ft. Worth?).

Yeah, I remember the F-111, it was as you say. The wings were laying alongside it.
There was a fenced ANG T-33 in the Texarkana Tx city park there as well.
Last time I saw them was about 4 yrs ago.
