"Carolina Moon" was the nose art Mike Smith was going to have painted on Evergreen's B-17G. The 490th BG marking it was
already painted in and his very pretty blonde wife's name made it a easy choice. After Mike's tragic death, that and many other
plans of his fell to the wayside. So it's nose art is simply EVERGREEN AVIATION. Yuk!!!!!

Absolutely fantastic stuff, Jack... you've got some real treasures, and I always enjoy opening your posts to see what kind of cool stuff you're gonna post next!

I rather like the P-47N; got a 1/48 kit of that up in the attic, and that might make for a cool choice, I'll have to see if there are decals for it.
