TOM is cancelled according to a release to ticket holders I presume.

Yes, I got the email a half hour ago. Public announcement tomorrow, apparently.

Very odd as they were still adding new aircraft on the 4th. Seems like something happened.

It may have something to do with a recent Executive Order handed down by our Governor here in Michigan. Have not heard anything specific regarding airshows in Governor Whitmer's executive orders, but there are some generalities in the orders that are handed out that make it difficult to determine what is allowed, and what is not, and how it is to be enforced.

I completely expected this, but it's still disappointing. It sounds like the TOM crew did everything they could to try to make the event happen, including exploring different event formats, but they can only control so much. I'm originally from Michigan and, based on what I've heard from friends and family and read in the news, there are likely government restrictions impacting the ability to hold the event.

Per the email I got, those who purchased advanced tickets and parking will have the same number of tickets/parking comped for both 2021 and 2022. This is a great gesture on the part of TOM.

I hope the Luftwaffe theme can be revisited in the near future.

Hope to see you guys in 2021!

I would hope that they would just revisit the theme next year.

Top notch for handling tickets the way they are!

The theme will not be revisited. 2021 will be something similar to the Corsair gathering where it was the main attraction and the Blue Angels/Thunderbirds weren’t present.

But what will that aircraft type be is the question! What does everyone think would be a good gathering? Important to think about what warbirds are near Michigan. P-38’s, P-47’s, and Bearcats are much better suited for somewhere like Chino and Thunder wants to set a record, not tie POF.

A medium bomber gathering would be awesome. A-20, A-26, B-25 and PV-1/2!
