Just a little good-natured harassment on Superbowl Sunday. :D

Didja know that the A-24, during a brief period of AAF/USAF re-designating of aircraft, was for a time an F-24? You can win bar bets by asking what was the least-known Air Force fighter of all time.

Well the FC-47 is also a little known "fighter". We know it as something else.

8th Squadron CO F. W. "Buck" Rogers had an A-24 with a B-17 engine/prop combo.. Also had a set of Aussie truck tires installed. Such were the early days of 1942 for the 3rd Attack Group.

This info might be a little late, but I managed to find my SBD-5 Flight Manual that included Weight & Balance charts. Unfortunately, at some time these pages were supposedly deleted, but are still readable. At least readable enough to make out the important parts. They do show some of the bomb combinations that could be carried.
