At one time the CWH did not allow the Lanc to stay more then one day OR arrive after noon on the first day, overnight, and had to leave by noon on the second day. (this is what we did in 2003) Today they will come in on friday and leave on sunday, but you haft to pay extra for two days.
As for the B-29, we are going to wait for Doc to be up and flying, so we can have both at the show together.

Hi Mike,
Seeing all of that British Built Iron on the ramp alreay sets my mind to wandering...pleasently so. And with the potential, as you indicated, of seeing TWO flyable B-29's at the same show at some point....well...let's just say that I LIKE the way you think !!

Hmmm....if you can get both B-29s to come, then so will I. Hey, maybe they'll let me fly up with Doc as a crew member...but that will probably be 2007 at the earliest.
Man, it would be awesome to have a B-17, B-24, B-29, and Lancaster all flying in formation. A P-61 would be nice too. And so would a Fw 190. Oh yeah, and a formation of all flying P-38s (though I think only two P-38s fly regularly nowadays)....

We had a great time at Thunder Over Michigan aside from not being let onto the flight line in the morning at first. 
It was my first time there, and I hope to do it again. Sorry I never got to see the museum.

Here's a pic of a few of the hordes of photographers on the photo tour who literally ran across the flight line to our group when they saw us setting up... of course after one fine gentleman flat out refused to let us go out there because the photo tour people were out there, and then told us we could only stay at one plane.
I didn't know any better since it was my first time, but some of the guys were HOT especially after the incredible hospitality they had received the year before. So seeing the ensuing photographer mele was pretty funny.

Some of our security guys, never seem to be on the same page, even after we cover it with them. Sorry, you were ok to be out there, we want you guys out on the ramp as much as possible. and I think we should have everyone on the same page this year.

I thought having people dressed in period "costumes" standing near the planes was a great idea. I was probably one of those photographers running to get a shot (although I don't see myself in this lineup).

We just added 3 real great aircraft to the line up, this week. Two of the aircraft will be flown together as a odd flight. It will be two navy warbirds, one from WWII and One from the cold war.
