Ok, two of them are the A-4 and F4u, that we will fly in formation together, and the other is the P-38.

Also, soon Kevin will be posting some more fighters and other stuff to the web site, (I think about 10-15 more aircraft)
Please let use know what you think about us flying the A-4 and Corsair together, We are really pumped to do something no one has really tried to do in the past, at shows.

I assume the A-4 and F4U are both Collings Foundation? That is a GREAT idea. That will be very interesting to see. As for the P-38, it will be very cool to see at Thunder again. Any chance of getting it to participate in the Heritage Flight with the P-51 anf F-16? Keep up the good work, can't wait to see the updates!

A group of us from Canada's East Coast are heading to Thunder this year. I was just wondering what the lighting conditions are like for photography?

The A-4/FG-1D "Legacy Flight" will be the Cavanaugh Flight Museum's Corsair and Collings Foundation TA-4J.
Absolutely on the Heritage Flight! It will be a three-ship Heritage Flight with the F-16, P-38 and P-51. We are accomplishing this as it will be Steve Hinton flying the P-38 and Brad Hood flying the P-51 (both Heritage Flight qualified).

I CAN"T WAIT. I also can't wait to see POF P-38 again! Or is the P-38 the one that just moved to Florida? Both? sorry just getting a bit carried away now

Lighting conditions are best in the best morning and progressivley get tougher as the day goes on as the sun moves across the airfield. Not impossible to work with but certainly more challenging.
Perhaps the show organizers could consider this when they are drawing up the flying schedule. I know we all like to keep the big act until the end to keep the crowd but I suppose the biggest difficulty is figuring out what the big act is at an outstanding show such TOM.
Having said all that there is no shortage of photo opportunities throughout the day, lots of aircraft movements.
Trust me, the trip is well worth it.

That navy formation will be great.These formations including all of the heritage flights are great to see and never get old.You get to see history from many years flying together before your eyes.It does not get any better than that.

Is the symposium no longer in the works for this year's show? I see the link for the symposium page is now gone. Just wondering...
Also, are there plans to do another DVD for this year's show?
Can't wait...only two months to go!

The Symposium has been postponed until 2007.
Yes, there will be a DVD produced of the 2006 air show. The DVD production company (Ido Visual Productions) appreciated all the feedback on the 2005 production and has planned to incorporate many new ideas in this year's version.

THE UPDATED AIRCRAFT LIST, POSTED FOR "THUNDER OVER MICHIGAN" ON JUNE 15 (TOTALLING 73 AIRCRAFT), IS LOOKING MOST IMPRESSIVE!
THE RAMP IS FILLING UP AND FLESHING OUT QUITE NICELY, HOWEVER, I THINK THERE IS ROOM FOR A FEW MORE "GOODIES"!
