So why not just go back to the way it was before all the insanity and hold an actual air show?

Too late in the game to readjust the ticketing system, and the budget is likely based off of it.

Shame, that's keeping me from going.
Heck, the Snowbirds show is the same way, $85 bucks for the Snowbirds and the Hornet demo. That's a lot of money for 2 acts. Thunder being $150 for half a day, Airventure is $122 for a week.

I am in the same boat...I got a refund on my tickets when it moved to the absurd parking lot show. I would assume that the budget didn't change since I am assuming the price increase was to offset all the refunds issued and the decrease in attendance.

The only aircraft newly announced were a pair T-44s and a T-28 (for static)

I would assume the flying program that was published will be it. There are the Texan II's flying by at the beginning of the show.

EA-18G, T-6II, F-35, Thunderbirds, A-400. Not a bad lineup of modern hardware

Thanks for the updates! I'm a little bummed that the Atlas isn't included in the morning lineup but the rest looks good.
