I as well only have one experience:

I got to take the epic air museum road-trip I've always wanted to take:

Ft. Eustis, VA- Richmond, VA (Virginia Aviation Museum)
Richmond, VA- Chantilly, VA (Udvar-Hazy Center)
Chantilly, VA- Washington DC (NASM)
Washington DC- Reading, PA (MAAM)
Reading, PA- Willow Grove, PA (DVHAA)
Willow Grove, PA- NY, NY (Intrepid Museum)
NY, NY- Amherst, MA (Visit With Relatives)
Amherst, MA- Horseheads, NY (W.O.E., only got to see the gate guard)
Horseheads, NY- Hammondsport, NY (Glenn H. Curtiss Museum, only got to see the gate guard)
Hammondsport, NY- Canton, OH (MAPS)
Canton, OH- Oshkosh, WI (EAA Museum)
Oshkosh, WI- South Saint Paul, MN

13 Days, 4000 Miles, $400, Sleeping every night in a Geo Metro.
I got to see 3 P-61's, 5 Blackbirds, 3 B-26's, 5 Mustangs (1 XP-51, 1 A-36, and 3 P-51D's), a P-64, a Do-335, 2 P-47's, an F3H, an F3D, 2 F11F's, 3 Me-262's, 5 P-80's, 2 P-59's, 3 X-24's, 2 X-15's, 2 Mosquitos...the list goes on and on...

Yeah, it was worth it.

As reported in the Boeing Bee threads, my #1 Warbird experience has to be spending almost two hours inside Boeing Bee with Hank Hendrickson, a 30 combat mission 8AF B17 pilot as my guide...it just does not get any better than that for the past 12 months.

#2 - getting inside some rare A/C at the Castle Air Museum's Open Cockpit Sunday over Memorial Day weekend (B23, B36, B47, B50, Vulcan, etc.).

#3 - wing walking Glacier Girl & helping out Bob Cardin for the Warbirds in Review at Oshkosh last summer.

#4 - talking with Bud Anderson about his work on the "parasite fighter" progam after WWII in the shadow of Jack Roush's P51 Old Crow.

#5 - everything else...very busy year..how to choose??
