Additional Insured

Sat Jun 10, 2006 11:23 pm

Any of you out there running into this? Airshows require "additional insured" requirements. My company charges $150 per additional insured. I usually eat the 2 for the Akron Airshow to support MAPS, but I just received the list from The Indy Airshow folks, and it is 14. That's $2100 in addition to the premium. For one airshow! I'm not commercial, so I don't even get fuel, much less an appearance fee. The insurance folks may have run me out of the airshows.

Change

Change Insurance Company's, as we do not get charged for any other additional Insured. This is becoming the new thing with airshows which is just a letter from your Insurance stating that you have insurance, and they just want their names on the insurance for their show. It is the big Liabilty thing as well.

We use Aircapital Insurance in Wichita, they know the warbird industry, and have no problem getting additional insured added. Tell them Doug sent you.
