I think we'll be picking up where left off in the fall of 2019. Not long ago, I heard of a few annual airshows in other states that are in planning now that had bene cancelled during COVID.

Hopefully I'll be able to make this one, been wanting to go for years.

It is a fantastic show, really close up and personal with great access to the aircraft, before, during, and after the flying. Tip: stand behind the Skyraider on start up- and hang onto your hat!

The October dates will likely be safer weather-wise than the previous May dates which have been very fickle with rainouts.

Hoping they can build a UK and USSR hangar soon for their growing collection. They need to get all those non US aircraft out of the US Navy and Army hangars! One year I'll make it down there.

I am planning to attend this year. It will be my first visit in nine years! Looking forward to seeing what's new.

They're sending four machines to Oshkosh too - including the Mossie. But they're not crowdfunding her gas bill this time...I still have my shirt from 2015!

I’m guessing Breitling may have something to do with the Yagen four-ship going to Oshkosh. If I remember, the four aircraft types appeared in Breitling advertisements late last year- although it was the Cavanagh P-40, not the MAM P-40.

It would be nice if the P-39 went with the four MAM warbirds but I am certainly not complaining at what’s down to attend already.

They are also sending the Hurricane, Spitfire and Mosquito to the St Louis Airshow this year-

Nice, hopefully MAM sending some of their aircraft to other shows will result in reciprocal visits. It seemed to work a few years ago with the partnership with the Canadian group where the Mosquito went to Canada and the Lancaster came to Virginia Beach. Was a real highlight seeing the Lancaster up close and flying from the grass strip. I had never seen a Lancaster so was very happy to have it come down, never though I would see one (and never thought I would see a Me-262, Fw-190 or Mosquito fly either, but have seen all of them fly at MAM Virginia Beach!) Thanks Jerry and crew!

That Lancaster visit in 2013 is STILL one of the greatest things I've ever seen in my time on this rock. Sweet merciful Jesus, the "missed approach" (wink wink) pass at full throttle and 50 feet up (if that) straight down the runway, then up and over into a 30 degree chandelle still gives me goosebumps.
