Hi Rick, friday before last I saw an A-4 enter the Ellington pattern about
7:55 pm, was that ya'lls TA-4? It appeared grayish to me, but I was looking
into setting sun. What color is the Collings TA-4 now?

That's it. Gull Gray over Insignia White. Yellow slash across the fuselage, alternating red and yellow stripes on the rudder.

Check out http://www.skyhawk.org look under Marines H&MS 11, the Playboys.

Yes, but the caption is incorrect. The aircraft is attached to H&MS 11 "Playboys" not Outlaws.

They were an all volunteer Marine Fast Fac outfit that operated as a mini squadron under H&MS 11. They were the only guys flying the TA-4F as a specific unit, in combat, with their own markings. They existed from 1969 to about 1971. There were only about 70 guys who rotated through and they came from all over the fleet as well as some exchange AF guys.
