Any information, please PM me.

Thank you!

He's a retired minister in S. Calif. He flew B-17 in the 8th AF in WWII and flew RF-51s in Korea. He was a prolific photographer and took a photo of possibly every airplane he ever saw!

Found more on Mr. Reed:

Boardman C. Reed was one of the earliest members of the California group that founded the AAHS fifty years ago, in 1956.

He is a WW-Two vet, lived in Alaska for a time, and late in life became Reverend B. C. Reed.

Saludos,

Tulio

Met him in Chico a couple years ago. He was out with his family to take pictures of the bombers. He was also selling his book...which I think most of the crew bought and had him autograph. Super nice person and a wealth of information. Unfortunately I don't have contact information for him.

Tulio, he contributed to the F4B/P-12 book that I found the Brazilian information in. It was printed in 1966. They spelled his first name Bordman.

Hi, Rick!

I have a photo essay by him, and the name is spelled Boardman.... Will try with the spelling that you have provided.

Thank you!

Tulio,

Just read this posting, I've been gone for a week, if you still need to contact him, send me a PM. His eyesight is poor, but he can still hear on the phone (Chico CA) fairly well.............Roger

The 'Reverend Boardman Reed' was a contributor to Ed Maloney's book on the Spitfire.

Perhaps an email to Ed at the Air Museum, Chino, could yield a contact path.

I knew the name looked familiar but I couldn't place it today until I was paging through David McLaren's book "Mustangs over Korea"

There he was. Boardman Reed in a RF51

Thank you, guys!

Through the kind help of Todd Hackbarth and Bill Larkins, I obtained an e-mail address for Rev. Reed.

The e-mail was returned as undeliverable, and I have been really busy to do a follow up.

Roger, I will contact you via PM.

Thank you all!
