47 is looking great, Doug! Cant wait to see it in person. I like that the fuselage is bare metal.... nice touch! I see another 47 gathering in the works!

Are they using a Ham standard or might they be interested in a Curtiss electric set up with brand new factory matched blades still in the box?

The airplane had been running with the CE prop through about 94-95, then appeared with a Ham Standard, which it had through the time of the engine meltdown. In the early 90's, John Luther and Linda Finch were both pilot/sponsor's of the aircraft. It was John who took the P-47N up to Osh for the 93 T-bolt gathering. Sorry to digress... but the thought of a NIB set of "N" blades..... hummmmmmm... that bad boy would look like it was just out from the Pacific..... I think Doug is OK with CE props... they have been running CE blades on the FM-2 and P-40N for many years. Doug... not trying to put you on the spot... thoughts....... And the bird looks STUNNING! Sure you won't be at MAF for Airsho'?..... oops forgot about the round 18 cylinder thingy that makes it go.........lol... Alan

The N model used both CE and Ham. The Ham is just so much easier to deal with.

There are some real artists out here when it comes to airframes! In the Navy we (avionics types) would poke fun at the engine and airframe guys as guerillas who’s knuckles where worn down from dragging on the ground. But the work I’ve seen show up on this board is just unbelievable to me. A real credit to the skill that is out here in these trades.

Keep up the great work and I hope to see this aircraft in the skies soon.

Things have been going pretty slow while the final sheet metal work is being done. We got an engine core to make the engine cowls around. That's the last thing basically for the sheet metal. Hope to bring it back to the hangar and starting putting the little pieces back in. I've been wanting to get some new pics but there's not much difference that shows up in a photo. I'll try to get something out soon.
