Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Skyraider and said hi. I enjoyed the show tremendously. It is clearly one of the best in the country to be invited to participate in. I hope to do it again next year.

Also thanks to all who have posted pictures of the AD here, it makes all the hard work and money spent to keep the Skyraider flying worth it.

Best to you all,

TimAPNY,
Thats a great shot of the Tracker sitting on the ramp. Any chance of getting a copy of it for on our Squadrons website?

The Lanc flew Sunday. The reason we did not fly it on satureday was becouse of the cost they ask. With the no shows we did not save any money as I go 25% over budget every year, becouse I plan on stuff not showing up.

Skyraider no shows

Fighter factory broke
Rick Sharp ?
Danny Summers #1 no pilot
#2 personal issues
Walt Newton was not flying for now becouse of F-86 crash

I also never heard why Frasca's spit was a no show?

Also we plan to move the VIP tent and venders out of the NW corner, but the photo pit will stay in about the same area but more NW of crowd area.

The Swordfish was sold to potter and was broke, thats why it droped off the show list.

Hey Mike, Kevin and Tom, I have heard a lot of grumbling about the show and complaints on here and Fence Check and I just want to show some support for you guys. I for one have been around shows long enough to know most of the problems you face organizing a warbird show and know many issues can crop up to prevent an aircraft from attending. I never expect to see all the aircraft listed to attend the show, to many factors that can prevent that. I for one did not find the show any less exciting then the past shows and really appreciate having the event in the area as it is our top warbird show in the region by far and I for one do not want to see that change. Two Spits, 3 Hurricanes and a Lanc is pretty darn impressive not to mention very expensive for a show. Add to this an excellent line-up of WWII aircraft that all had to have appearances paid. I really like how every year TOM brings in new aircraft to the show so it never gets stale.

I would however say that GA suffered this year with the tents in the most sought after spot blocking the view as well as some venders placed along the north show line. Other then that I did not see a difference from past years and the flying and passes was excellent.

Keep up the great work and I’m looking forward to next year.

Eric

Craig
I have several more besides those. If you PM a E-mail address I can forward them to you (or the wing if you'd prefer) They will be a larger file because I crop the shots down a lot to post. If you want a specific size I could send that also.

To the Thunder Crew
It was a great show, I loved it and plan to be back there next year. I really have to agree with AIRIC on this on, It was a GREAT show and I never get my hopes up to high on the Tentative list of aircraft. No-Shows are part of the game.

I will have to agree that you will always have a few hiccups with any large event but all and all it was any excellent show...great turnout and very friendly volunteers and staff on site...

I will return for sure... :D

Just a question for the museum...I remember seeing a cockpit section last year parked over by the DC-6..it was maybe 707,727 or 737....what happened to?

Geez, Jeff, were you standing on the wing of that B-17 or what?

I find it a bit annoying when people complain about aircraft no shows. Especially people who should know better. Maintainance, personal, and $$ issues stress all owers/pilots. We should thank those who put their blood and $$ into organizing these shows.

I missed the show, because if I don't work, I don't fly.
I'm saving all I can to get my UH-1H flying ASAP.

Even though I was not there, Thanks to Mike and all the YAM staff who put on the show.
