This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Yesterday I heard the unusual (for this area) sound of a piston powered warbird, and to my surprise there it was this B-17 flying by.I kept hearing the engines for a few minutes, but it was out of sight.
Today I saw it again, and I was ready with my camera.I managed to take two photos, one in the morning and the other just a few minutes ago.Anybody has any idea what is this aircraft doing around here and if it's staying at Sikorky airport?

The Collings Foundation will be in Stratford on Sept. 5-7th, with the B-25, B-24, and B-17. Anybody interested in buying a ride can call the Collings Foundation at: 878-562-9182.
If it's feasible, when they fly rides in certain areas, they try to over fly an area, city or airport, where they will be stopping soon. It draws attention to the visit, as you have obviously seen for yourself first hand! (IT WORKS!)
I'm one of the coordinnators for their stop here, so any WIX'er's, please stop by. The aircraft will be parked at Three Wing Flying Services, 400 Great Meadow Road, Stratford. (Next to the terminal and the corroding Corsair on the stick!)
We still need some minor sponsors, which can actually translate into a less expensive ride than the full price fare. Please PM me if you might be interested.
But Jaldo, also be aware that "Liberty Belle" is in Danbury, CT until this Sunday. Right now they are doing some compression checks and minor maintence work at Danbury Airport.
Hope to see some of you there!

Once we nail down the rental cars cost, it should be close to $365 (+ or -).
Basuically we need to take care of rental cars and rooms for there stay. This would roughly be 6-7 minor sponsors.
