Can ayone shed any light on a Prentice reported as airworthy in the U.S ?

Hello David--

It's a very long while back but I do recall seeing photos showing a Prentice at a stateside airshow. As I recall it was painted in WWII-era camo with the prototype "P" marking. The reg'n N1041P sticks in my mind, but that might be wrong: as I say it was ages ago...

This was taken in 1991 or 92 at the Museum of Flying, If I remember right it was on loan and hardly ever flew, I was there working for the summer on the Bearcat and Zero as my dad was involved with there restorations at the time. I spent most nights and weekends watching the planes going in and out at Santa Monica, I took to many photo's to count :)

It is sitting derelict at the Camarillo, California airport. At least it looks derelict.

Thanks for the replies guys! She looks decidedly out of place over there.
Makes you wonder why anyone would go to the trouble of getting one out to the U.S!
