OK, all youse closet computer gurus out there. I need some help.
My Google Earth has gone FUBAR.
To begin with, on my "old" Google Earth, I could select a city and go there. Then if I wanted to find "points of interest" it would show me what I was looking for, ie. lodging, museums, restaurants, etc. Then Google Earth offers a "new and improved" format. So I sign up for that. Now I can still go to the various places on earth but no matter what I look for in that view, I get the reply "Your search returned no results". I mean, I've got the exact location of what I'm asking it for centered on my screen and it's telling me it can't find it.
Mrs. Mudge (my personal computer guru) spent 3 hours this AM trying to get it to work.
She did the graphics card upgrade (I have a Radeon 9600 card).
She installed something called "hydravision".
She turned off the "pop-up" blocker
Still nothing, nada, zero, zip.
Any ideas?
Mudge the frustrated
ps. I'm getting absolutely NO help from Google.

You forgot nichts.
But anyway my works fine. Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling it?

I would uninstall the program and then re-install it. That should do the trick, however, make sure your graphics card has the latest DirectX drivers install ( usually your latest drivers will contain it. ) if not, go to Microsoft.com and download the latest DirectX drivers.
Start from when it stopped working, what did you do to the PC that when you started it, it stopped working?
Start backwards and work towards the problem.

Zulu...Don't know whether Mrs. Mudge has tried rolling back to the older version or not. It was giving me everything I needed. I just figured "newer is better".
WRONG!!
I'll ask her to try that when she gets home...
