This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Anyone ever thought of putting up a live chat on here too!? Scott?
Just wondering, because I see people posting so many replies sometimes, it would be a neat tool to have a chat room.

Hi all,
I second the motion on this one. I think it would be kinda cool to discuss some of the threads here in real time. Expand everyone's knowledge base.
Just my two cents worth,
Paul

Third the motion...
I'd especially love to see some of the experts that post here host q+a sessions.

Scott, I will PM you on this. I could help out.

Go for it. A bunch of us from WIX tried this about 3 years ago using MS Messenger. It died I think because there wasn't enough people in any one time to have a good group discussion. We operate in many different time zones and have jobs after all.
I am not trying to be a kill joy, just point something ahead of time.

Well, I think if it was centralized on this site, and maybe a calandar was posted for specific functions, who knows, it maybe useful. Just thinking out loud.

I'm still unpacking my stuff and do not have an Internet connection at home yet. Once I get that sorted I will look into this.

I've installed a basic chat software package at
http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/c ... t/chat.cgi
It ain't pretty but I can't access the config files from work and I will work on making it better looking and more custom once I get a home net connection. But check it out and let me know what you think, problems you've encountered and whatnot. This is just a starting point so if it sucks then let me know and I will look at some other software.
Also, suggestions for chat rooms on other forums that you like are welcome and I will check out thier software.

Scott,
I really like the idea of a "Live Chat". Here's to hoping that the idea takes-off and folks can enjoy it. Your hard work on this site is MOST appreciated, and I Thank you for it.

For now I would suggest selecting "open forum" instead of CGI Programming
