Hi

This is my first post on the forum, just thought I would introduce myself a little.
I'm Martyn, I live in South Lincolnshire England and i'm 27 years old. I'v had a massive interest in warbirds since watching the filming of memphis belle at Duxford & Binbrook, hence the interest over the years has led me to become a volunteer with THE FIGHTER COLLECTION & i'm about to finish my PPL at my local airfield.

I've just put a few shots in from this summer

great pictures! I've a tower photo that would compliment yours - the 100th BG trained in Wendover, Utah USA for several months before they went to Thorpe Abbotts. Good to have you here and good luck on the ppl.

Matyn, the photo of the Seafire landing is beautiful. The engine looks like a Grifon from the round exhaust stacks and bulges in the cowling, but the prop seems to be four blades?

Yes and yes.

See 'Seafire XV':

Its actually A Seafire 17! Not too many differences from the 15 though.

Bill, the engine is the Griffon VI, same as in the former Wally Fisk Seafire Ray has been working on. Has four blades but still turns the opposite way to a Merlin - if you get a trip, watch out for that one on take-off!
