Warbird Information Exchange

The CAF SB2C was restored at Breckenridge by Nelson Ezell and company. I took many pictures of it over the years, from about a week after it arrived at Breckenridge up until shortly before it's first flight. Sadly, I've misplaced most of those pictures. But, here's a few from the early restoration and a couple from the last five years or so.

Hey, that last picture is when I was lucky enough to be working with Nelson! IF I recall, I had just put two or three cylinders on the Helldiver just before that picture was taken. That's the little Pitts in the background that I modified and flew somewhat in my spare time. Thanks for the memories with this and all of your other pictures Brad!

Yup, neat photos Brad. William Morgan, then working for Nelson, was responsible for much of the metal work on that project. He moved up here to God's Country North shortly after that. I've learned much having had the chance to work with him on another project.
