C'mon Matt, would you really trade one historic carrier for one Hillary ? I'm sure the old crewmwmbers on board would love to try their hand with man overboard drills one more time ! All they need is one certain volunteer !

You guys obviously are not from New York. I believe the logic here is to give big-money benefactors a chance to reach deep into their pockets, as folks sometimes do here in the big city, and come out with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (if you conveniently forget that the same opportunity will be offered again in 2 years) to hobnob with original WWII crew members and assorted political celebrities. The prize loses part of its value if it is any less exclusive.

Ding ding ding. No more phone calls, we've got our winner. It's the same reason museums offer high price tag "sponsor", "patron", or "lord high grand poobah" memberships. Somewhere out there, someone may want to cough up that kind of dough. If I had that level of disposable income, I wouldn't think twice.

And if the politico's want to use that as an excuse, so much the better. ('Bout time to see them working for a half way decent cause.) Even better for the museum if some rich folk want to hobnob with the candidate of their choice.

I agree with letting your vote do the talking.

But I will give you a bit of info that might help someone make up their mind.

The proposed demil legislation for formerly DoD owned military equipment that endangered the American military equipment that we all love to see fly and operate was closest to becoming law when Sen Carl Levin was Committee Chairman for the Senate Armed Services Committee. His Chief Counsel a Mr. Levine is ready to put it back on the table when they regain the majority.

I'm sure there will be a picture of Mrs. Clinton in the newspaper the next day, wearing a "U.S.S. Intrepid" ballcap, to prove that she really has soooo much respect for our nation's military...

Hmmm Tex-Mex and Mexican food. I was stationed in California for 3 year and Mexican food and the High Sierra's are the only things I miss about that state.

Funny thing is I just Map Quested the distance between Nashville and Midland just to see if it would be possible to convince the "migration party" to move a bit more south and a bit more west. I'll have to try and sell it anyway.

I tried to sway them to Midland, but my Sister-in-law says there are to many snakes down there, I guess Bill G was right about (Some) Yankees being too scared of the snakes to like TX  Oh, well

Taco Hell, how dare you talk about that place while Mexican Food is being discussed! That is one of 2 things I miss about California, the Mexican Food and the Mountains.
