Threads with the highest viewings?

The "Film" thread returning to the top of the list got me thinking and wondering a bit.

What threads over the last few years or since the beginning of WIX, were the ones that had the most viewings? Anyway to put them in ranking order?

Some stick around for a while, and others keep returning, adding to their "score". Many that seem to have high numbers are interesting and thought provoking, while some of the others contain a lot of short quips back and forth.

I guess it would be interesting to see if there is commonality between the "Top Threads". What made a particular topic that interesting?

I don't want to stir up trouble or raise possibly ugly past issues, but it was just a thought.

A certain New Guinea B-17 gets top honors. The thread with the highest number of views is:

Were you able to do a "search" for all those or did you physically go back through the archieves?

I made an assumption that the highest viewed threads would be within the last year or so due to the steadily increased membership and then did a fast cruise through the latest 50 pages. I only scanned the WIX Hangar though and didn't think to look in the WIX Gathering. I'll have to go look at the Corsair Gathering thread!

I think we have a relatively new thread that is quickly joining the ranks of the long threads mentioned here.

I'm sure you can guess as to which one: "Gary~What's the Plan for Diamond Lil"

It has to have been one of the fastest growing threads as well.

It was started on October 27th, and as of November 5th it has 112 REPLIES and 7034 VIEWS!!! :shock:
