Thanks Wade!! Its was a real pleasure to be apart of the Thunderbird crew and taking shots of Liberty Belle. My Grandfather flew with the 390th. So it was an Honor to be in formation with the Belle!

Wow - that last one bears a striking similarity to one I found at the bottom of a footlocker . . .

(OK, OK - I had a few minutes to kill) :D

Lots of formation pictures in this thread so far, but not many in "action". This first one was taken from the back seat of a Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter (by Bill Batter) while I was pestering it in the tripe. Ever wondered what it feels like to be shot down by the Red Baron? Anyways, needed to take it out for a spin after spending the whole winter giving it a new paint and fabric job.

And a few shots flying for the good guys

Finally a fun little gaggle that I don't think is likely to be seen again. Rick Radell took this one of the Vickers Vimy being escorted by a Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter, SE5, Fokker DVII and N28. Happened a few weeks before it replicated the frist Atlantic Crossing. I'm in the number 3 airplane.

Here's just a few of "Witchcraft" from it's stop in Stratford, CT back in September. I was working the VIP's and the Press photographers for the stop, so I really couldn't spend a lot of time taking any good photos. These will have to do!

Look on the ramp and "Tondaleyo" is already there and to the right, in the circular drive, is the famous "Rotting Corsair on a Stick"!

How the heck did I miss this thread?

Here's my first and only A2A shot:

Thanks Tim!

I need to weasel my way onto some aircraft in 2007, only flying I did in 2006 was when I drove my car too fast over a bump in the road. :(

Now who's going to let me pillage this thread for the registry?
