Re: Planes

Last are ones with no props. They smell like a diesel garbage truck and sound worse.

Actually chicks dig the sound.

Their pilots freqeuntly wear their flight suits in the bar after the show,

That's because our jets are air conditionded and we haven't fouled our flightsuits like the pilots flying the piston crafts with holes in the fuselage for cooling.

but believe it or not a lot of these planes even have air conditioning!

Believe it! That's why we smell good and you prop guys have that...well...not so fresh feeling. I learned that at diesel driving school.

At the end of the day, the planes with ventilation holes in the sides of them are very cool--the Rembrandts of warbirds, but somehow we got on the subject of cockpit hygiene, an attribute where even the "Rembrandt" warbirds can't outdo the diesel burners!

But hey, T33, when I climb out & I smell the same, it's no big deal!

Besides, it's not the person flying it, it's the a/c itself! Give me a prop any day of the week! It would take a lot of work to woo me away..........my first love was a Corsair, and you know that a gal never forgets her first!

I'm going to keep this as clean as I can. Women prefer radials, its all about the vibration...

I saw my first one in 3rd grade and there was no going back! However, in the "real world" it's the T-6 that owns me.......I swear, though, nothing gives me chills like the sound of a round engine low & fast.........Well, OK, some things do, but I'm sure not going to get into that HERE!
