This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

May have missed it somehow. The ones I can think of:
Pensacola
Doan (now at Planes of Fame?)
Tillamook
CAF - they may have 2, I've seen pictures of Able Mable (151 on cowl), and another (with 158 on cowl, St. Louis on rear fuselage).
Any other Maulers?

nope, but send me pictures and info and I'll create one

I think that some of those listed above are one in the same. I thought there were only two Maulers left, that being the CAF example and the one at Tillamook. Does Pensacola have one as well?

Yes, there is a Mauler at Pensacola. I'll go dig up some photos of it.

Scott - I don't have any personal pictures, just what I've seen in periodicals.
I believe the Bu Nu's are:
Pensacola 122397
Tillamook 22275
Doan 122259
CAF 22260
CAF ?
Chad - I saw one at Pensacola a couple of years ago. It was a real beauty.

Here are a few photos of the Pensacola Mauler. If anyone wants to tackle a Mauler registry, I'll provide them appropriately scaled from the source images.

I think Ed Maloney in Chino has one now. It's the one that was in a field in Joshua, TX. At least that is what I'm told anyway.
Scott....

Scott, I'll try to remember to get you pictures of the CAF Mauler(s) tomorrow.

RNDMTRS4EVR - That is the Doan Mauler. It went to Joshua, Texas, now its at Chino. My previous BuNo was apparently wrong. Looks like it is actually 122403.

That would be great to see one fly again! So who's going to break out the check book?

Here's the two Maulers at CAF Headquarters in Midland as of today. I know they're still outside and looking bad, but I've at least gotten all of their parts collected and on the hard surface, rather than being out in the dirt, like the way they were.

The engine, engine mount, and some other smaller items for the "parts" Mauler are inside a hangar that the B-29/B-24 Squadron rents. It breaks my heart to see these things sitting out here every day. If given enough time though, I'll try to make something positive happen with them.........
