I never really gave the Fiat G91 much thought , other than to think of it
as a license version of the F-86D. To my surprise, they are a scale-down version of the F-86K. The G91Y is a foto-recon, light tacticalfighterbomber version of the G91T (trainer) powered by 2 afterburning J-85-GE-13A's.
Armed with cameras, two 30mm cannon, and a pair of hydraulic act. airbrakes under the wing-section in the fuse. JATO assist points provided.. Four 1000# hardpoints under wing.
A wee bit of a hustler and a sprinter...and a streetfighter to boot!!
The auction G91Y with 32 Stormo number to left of tricolore roundel. In the aereo selection--bottom row, 2cond foto from left

The Gruppo#, (13) to the right of the tricolore, and the unit badge fwd
edge of vert. fin under dark band...have been obliterated or "fuzzed-out"
as opposed to this "better days" photo here...

The Light-Blue with the OD green, of the auction-version is not faded from
the Medium Grey/ODgreen of the Eichorn example...the Lt. Blue is a different camo combination.
Production...45 aircraft, 1966-1973... went to
1 Gruppo of the 8 Stormo(wing), and
13 Gruppo of the 32 Stormo
Coool....if all the links don't work out, my initial reference to the type was
Janes 76-77, pg. 101, 3-view drawing and foto of 32 Stormo example in flight.
