Yes, it's a superb programme.

Best part of it is when Lefty arrives and parks the P-51 the front yard 8) after crossing the road. Wish I could do the same. :(
If no one has a copy, it would take me awhile to dig it out of storage

The Skyfire story on him has him arriving home in the 38, buzzing the house and taxiing right up to the door also.
Great video.

If you look close, I'm getting sworn in as a new Col. by Col. "Tennesee" Ernie Ford. I had long hair back then. I wish I had some of it back.

It is indeed a fantastic documentary, and as a kid it was the first thing I ever saw regarding the Confederate Air Force. A nice introduction to what they do I think.

That very low pass in the P-51D by Lefty Gardner is stunning to watch.

TJ et al. There is a short CAF documentary as an extra on the recently rereleased DVD of "Spitfire Over Australia" too. It's much in the same tradtion with some nice footage.

Have you tried Belle and Blade, in Denville NJ. They specialize in these kinds of videos and usually have a pretty big booth set up at the fly mart at Oshkosh every Year.

Is this the movie that shows the B-29s being guillotined at Davis Monthan at the very beginning? I thought that film was just called "Ghost Squadron", but it may be the same one...

Here is the Belle and Blade Web page. I have had pretty good luck with them and usually if they can't get it no one can.
