jspott, I just went and took some more pictures of the inside of our warehouse, but it's so stinkin' dusty in there, the camera only picks up the dust particles as the flash goes off (it's really dark in there). I have only had luck with close up shots, which probably wouldn't do much good for what you're looking for. Sorry.

And chico, thanks for searching the net for clues to this mystery. :) Now y'all know what I mean by how difficult this thing has been to identify.

Here's my guess although It's from way out in left field. Check out the inner cowling. This is a Canadair DC-4M with Griffons I believe. Perhaps this is an inner cowling attached to the nosecase to help channel air around the banks????????? Or maybe to insure intake air. Again????? It's the closest thing I've found.
