Does anyone know if they have any future acquistions in the works? I heard something about a P-40.

Everybody should go to TSWM I am a volunteer there and it is a great museum. They have purchased a P-40 it is being restored should be at the museum by the end of 07. As for the corsair they have started on it and it is pretty well stripped down. they are working on the tail section at this time, Long way to go till it flies. The workmanship is top notch.

I think the P-40 is s/n 43-5813. Restoration is going on down under.

A P-40M will be arriving later this year from New Zealand, where it is going through the first stages of restoration. The A/C was the mount of RNZAF ace Geoff Fisken, and will be painted in his colors. After arrival at the museum, internal work will be done to bring her to airworthy (and museum-worthy) condition.

Howdy All

Tri State has obtained the ex. John Chambers/ Mike Subritzky
P-40M-10-CU, NZ 3119, S/N.43-5813, in New Zealand
If I remember correctly, F/O G.B. "Fisky"Fisken only actually flew this machine once.(training)

There was an article done on NZ 3119 in "Classic Wings", some years back ( "FURNACE FUGITIVE" Issue No 3 )

Tri State is having this aircraft painted up as F/O. Fisken's usual mount
P-40M NZ 3072 "Wairarapa Wildcat"
