Hispano Buchon Drawings

Sun Dec 31, 2006 2:23 pm

Does anyone know whether a set of Buchon drawings are in circulation? I understand that Hispano released a set to MBB some time ago, but locating folks "in the know" within these organisations is a very slow and frustrating process. If anyone has a lead on any drawings, particularly relating to the forward fuselage and wings, any details would be most welcome.

Leads on any surplus Buchon parts would also be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Phil

Hi Phil,

I did a fair amount of research for a set of scale drawings some years ago on the type. From a modeller's rather than an engineer's perspective, structurally, aft of the firewall it's 109G, excepting the upper fuselage deck fwd of the cockpit, and the tail of the lower cowling. That said, I don't know what plumbing changes there may be under the surface - the Buchon retains the 109G underwing radiators, but has additional engine and oil rads under the nose.

Hope that's of some help.

Phil,

Can't help you with the drawings, but I do have the manuals if you should find the need.

Hi Brad,

Just to satisfy my curiosity, do they have coolant systam diagrams?

Thanks!

James,

They do indeed have the diagrams for the coolant system. They aren't the most detailed but they are ok. Shall I scan them and send them too you?

Brad
